Do you want
to shape the future? We need to strengthen our High Availability Services team
with a Storage Specialist with NetApp expertise who will be responsible for
designing, building and operating the complete high availability infrastructure
in our datacenters.

Your
responsibilities as a Storage Specialist are:

As our
Storage Specialist you are responsible for designing, building and operating
the High Available part of the datacenter, including application operations and
maintenance. You, together with six other technical experts, ensure that the
infrastructure and applications have an up-time as close as possible to
100%.? You will work together with the
on-site support team at the premises of the business ?to have short response times. Within this team
you will be the technical expert on storage related projects and issues. The
storage environment is completely based on NetApp, for which your expertise is
critical. Issues which cannot be solved by the on-site support will be solved
by your team. By using your already extensive experience with working in data
centers, you will be responsible to deliver top-end IT services to the very
demanding business of Vattenfall.

Specific
tasks would include:

• Understanding
  the design, building and operating of the complete high available
  infrastructure in the Datacenter including the processes, within the storage
  area as your specialism.


• Application
  operation, including pro-active monitoring and maintenance of all
  High-Available systems


• Ensure that
  agreed service levels for up-time and other KPI’s are met at any time


• Identify
  improvement areas and continuously improve the delivered IT services

As a
storage specialist you dispose of the following qualifications:

• An academic
  Degree in IT, engineering, science or mathematics preferably with NetApp
  certifications.


• Designing,
  building and operating of Storage Area Networks, filesystems, fiber optics and
  backup and administration with in-depth knowledge of Netapp, and SAN / NAS,
  NFS, CIFS.


• Very strong
  technical skills, and extensive hands-on experience in designing and building
  up datacenters


• Experience
  in troubleshooting and root cause analysis


• Ability to
  translate complicated technical matters into simple understandable language


• Expert on
  multiple technologies within a datacenter, such as network, virtualization,
  storage and several operating systems


• An engineer
  who understands that designing and building a High Available datacenter with
  zero-downtime tolerance requires a different set of skills than more common
  datacenters.

We are
looking for specialists who are willing to put in all they got, to deliver a
high up-time of the mission critical infrastructure. All our specialists
dispose of skills in at least three of the following areas: Unix and Windows
Server, Active Directory, Oracle, MSSQL, Citrix, Exchange, Application Servers
like IIS, Virtualization with VMware or Networking. Next to your storage
expertise you need to have a broad scope and a go-getter mentality with a clear
customer focus.

Our offer

A High
Availability Services team is currently being built up and will have teams in
Stockholm, Amsterdam and Hamburg. High Availability Services (HAS) is providing
mission critical IT services, like end user support, workplace services and
high available infrastructural services to highly demanding business areas in
Vattenfall. This includes supporting critical users, running on-site service
desks in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands, providing high available
IT-services. At the moment the building phase is almost ready and the team is
now running the application migration project and at the same time operations
on a 24/7 basis for the already migrated part.

Netherlands. Your office can be in Amsterdam, Hamburg or Stockholm
