For a international pharmaceutical company we are looking for a Supply Chain Officer. This company is active in the field of research, development and production of innovative drugs. With almost 44,000 employees in a large number of production units, research centers and (sales) offices. The activities are mainly concentrated in Europe, North America and Japan. The Supply Chain officer is working in theproduction unit in Amsterdam.

Core tasks:

• Coordination of daily routines of the production unit
• Plan shipments from the internal and external suppliers within the network which will be delivered by European distribution units.
• Responsible for establishing optimized transportation plan (consolidate shipments, ensuring service levels, decide on express shipments)
• Consolidate outbound shipments to different business operation units while ensuring service levels
• Day to day contacts with hub and internal warehouse and freight companies (coordination inbound and outbound deliveries, handling of complaints, returns.)
• Represent SCM in low to medium complex organizational/process/IT-Projects/international SCM and/or within cross-functional context
• Back-up customer service tasks
• Ensure market supply of business operation units with finished goods sourced from internal production sites (worldwide)? or produced by CMOs by coordinating EU HUB processes
• Make sure goods will be customs cleared by agent at the (air)ports
• Responsible for establishing optimized transportation plan (consolidate shipments while ensuring service levels, decide on express shipments)
