International EMEA Early Collections Manager
Working as the manager of an Early Collections department, our client are at the leading edge of Credit Management preferring a client relationship management approach to AR and Credit management to waiting until payments are past due. Your primary role is to achieve the goals of this ambitious department's business plans by leading and motivating your team, increasing client relationships, lowering operating costs and building a positive working environment for your staff. Working within a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) model, you will have strong interpersonal and client management skills.

As a member of the Operations Management Team you will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:
*Develop and achieve the EMEA Operations budget / year plan and review strategy, with a focus on EMEA Early Collections rather than past due credit control
*Translate Operational objectives into Early Collections goals and KPIs as a tool to lead and direct staff and optimise the contribution of other departments and external subcontractors.
*Together with the Account Managers actively engage with the client to manage and exceed client expectations and cross sell
*Support the Sales Manager or Managing Director when developing new client opportunities by delivering worked examples of client satisfaction and visions of how an outsourced solution will look
*Manage day to day operations, the setting of targets and the control of operating expense, particularly of Early Collections.
*Plan and quantify resources to ensure sufficient credit control resources are in place with the correct balance of credit control expertise, experience and language skills in order to optimize early collections and the financial performance of the Department.
*Train and motivate staff in detailed work flow processes. Ensure through regular supervision and review of activities and outputs that all credit controllers are fully engaged and working to a satisfactory level.
*Manage the performance of credit controllers through quarterly performance reviews and ensure disciplinary actions are taken promptly where appropriate.
*Spend 15% of total hours available carrying out credit control duties to maintain touch with operational duties and the challenges facing credit controllers and to provide cover for sickness and holidays

*Project manage new client implementations. This will involve resource planning, documenting of SLA and process flows, recruitment and training of staff and working closely with the client to ensure all client expectations are managed and delivered within budget and timescales
*Maintain industry contacts through membership of trade bodies and professional associations. Submit one or two papers a year for publication on the benefits of outsourcing early collections and related topics.

*Competent user of computer systems although training on company software will be provided. Competence in Excel is essential.
*The ability to use one's own initiative to identify improvements, address problems and work to strict targets and deadlines
*Have the ability to think outside the box and generate new ideas for working.


*Educated to Degree level ideally
*At least 4 years credit control experience
*Fluency, written and spoken, in at least one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Swedish, Dutch, Italian as well as fully fluent English
*Some management or Team Lead experience
