Beschrijving

As the General Accountant you will be responsible for the daily and monthly general accounting processes for Fleet. You will perform the required reporting and accounting calculations and entries to gain an in depth understanding of workflow with a view to standardisation and re-engineering

Key-result areas
• To gain an in depth understanding and knowledge of the accounting tasks, accounting treatment and reporting of fleet entries.
• Managing the processes involved for Fleet Risk Car Sales & Buy Back Car Sales Process in accordance with OKC dept.
• To control and batch Fleet Purchase Invoices using local databases / excel & providing information to OKC to enter into HFS/Vision and creation of payment requests.
• Management & follow up on Fleet receivables & payables
• Maintenance of all contracts & prices lists with mfg & dealers to use as a control check when invoices are received.
• Provide information regarding Fleet Cash Receipts / PO’s / Proformas to assist banking dept in coding bank movement
• Obtaining VIN by VIN details for payments received from manufacturers and providing banking dept information to assist with coding bank movements.
• Maintain and update Fleet Accounting Database(Local) - Downloading of Reports and Running of SQL queries to gather new vehicle purchases & to assist with month end review & variance analysis.
• Reviewing of OKC Reconciliations
• Non Return Bonus / Volume Bonus – Invoicing and collections.
• STM / Excess Mileage / Gasoline / PDI processing of invoicing.
• Maintain good working relationship with the local departments who depend on fleet accounting on a daily basis example car control, car maintenance, car sales & distribution dept
• Ad hoc projects assigned as required.
• Ability to resolve and respond to accounting queries received from internal and external customers in an efficient and timely manner thus ensuring service expectations are maintained / exceeded

Mandatory Requirements:

Educational Background
• Part qualified Accountant or currently studying for a professional accounting qualification

Professional Experience
• 2 years or more experience working in an accounting environment

Knowledge:
• Intermediate / Advanced working knowledge of excel and access essential
• Knowledge of Hertz systems / procedures an advantage
• Fluency in English and the relevant market language essential
