Job description
As a Trading Operator you値l provide professional oil and freight scheduling and operations services to the various trading desks within?the company.??

Your main responsibility will be to ensure that the right product of correct quality is delivered to the right place at the right time. You値l be expected to add value by exercising embedded commercial and logistical deal options and by a pro-active approach to problem solving.??

A key part of the role is effectively managing data; you値l need to ensure that all oil and freight operational information is entered into systems and supply systems in timely fashion and ensure that adequate records are kept to meet the company's legal and fiscal obligations. In addition you値l be required to ensure that all data pertaining to cargo or voyage claims/demurrage are recorded in the trading systems to enable efficient handling by the relevant department.

Other specific responsibilities involve:

- Co-ordination of loading/discharge of barges and sea-going vessels and the handling of cargo documents from refinery and storage locations
- Providing contractual and operational support to other teams
- Ensuring that all obligations arising from the contract/charter party are carried out
- Making oil and vessel nominations, preparing and distributing voyage orders and monitoring progress of vessels and barges
- Appointing independent inspectors, expeditors and ships agents
- Liaising with Charterers to ensure smooth operations, avoid supply disruption and minimize demurrage costs
- Working closely with finance, back office and the contracts dept. in the global trading network to ensure that deals are correctly and timely settled.

Requirements
The candidate should be living in the Netherlands.

With experience of oil and freight operations (ideally in oil products), you値l be a multi-tasking self-starter and capable of working alone without supervision. Scheduling or finance experience would be an advantage.? Practical experience of balancing and capacity management systems and European nomination systems is essential. You値l have excellent attention to detail as well as an understanding of how your role fits into the bigger picture.

Commercially aware and able to make rapid and accurate decisions, you値l have proven experience in analysing complex issues, managing your demanding workload effectively to ensure deadlines are met.? Confident and self-motivated, your excellent interpersonal and communication skills mean you値l be able to liaise effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders. You値l enjoy contributing to and participating in the team.

Fluency in English is essential.? Knowledge of Dutch, German or French would be an advantage.

Salary indication
Depending on qualifications and experience.
