Company: Our client is parent company to some of the leading travel companies in the UK. They currently have a vacancy for a Dutch Business Development Manager in their Netherlands headquarters.

Role: In the role of Dutch Business development manager your role will involve the following;

-Responsible for the retention and development of strategically and commercially viable accounts whose product/service needs are a good fit with our core strengths and offering

-Quantify and qualify all registered clients within assigned area and, referring to framework provided for levels of Account Management

-Agree with Territory Manager the level of support, contact and account management each partner requires relevant to their potential value to the business

-Relay monthly sales messages to managed accounts and seek requested feedback as outlined by Territory Manager

-Proactively support, monitor and drive sales with each client accordingly

-Build relationships internally with IT, Operations, Accounts and Sales Support team members that are supporting your partners/territory, and work together to resolve any issues with/for partners

-It is also the candidate’s requirement to liaise with other business support teams to ensure prospect requirements are fully met

-In addition the candidate must identify marketing targets and assure the implementation of the marketing plan

-The successful candidate will also be responsible for liaising internally to ensure that prospect requirements can be met
Skills: The skills needed for this role are as follows;

- Candidates must have a minimum of 2/3 years of experience in a function of business development preferably gained in the area of services B2B

-Knowledge and previous experience of working as a Sales Manager (or equivalent) within the travel industry

-Knowledge and experience of operating within assigned territory preferred

-You must be Native Dutch and fluent in English

-You must have experience of commercial negotiation at different levels

-Proven track record of meeting targets and delivering success as a Sales professional

- Ability to produce accurate reporting and management information

-Demonstrable skills in project, account and relationship management


-You must also have a proven ability in new business acquisition ideally within the area of trademarks and brand protection or brand promotion

-In addition you will have a record of consistent & exceptional achievement in exceeding sales goals and a passion and aptitude for consultative selling
