Zij hebben een nieuwe en gepatenteerde technologie ontwikkeld voor het omzetten van biomassa in producten voor de industrie. Deze technologie wordt momenteel doorontwikkeld tot een pilot-plant, proeffabriek en uiteindelijk een goed werkende fabriek in Latijns-Amerika.
Job descriptionAs part of a growing and highly motivated team the Chemist/ervaren laborant will work on the process development by designing, building, calibrating and maintaining the laboratory equipment and the upgrading and maintenance of the current reactor systems. Your main tasks will be the execution of various laboratory experiments with chemical catalysts within reactors (mainly high pressures). Besides that, you will collect and analyze the data and discuss this with your colleagues. Another part of your tasks is troubleshooting in the laboratory during day-to-day routine. You support in design, development and testing of new laboratory systems and will provide technical support for the analytical techniques.
The position requires extensive teambuilding and is strongly focused towards process optimazation and scale-up. The company is focussed on the development of a new developed technology which will eventually result in upscaling of the technology to labscale, pilot plant scale and a brand new industrial facility. Therefore, you will work in an exciting and challenging environment. We are looking for chemists (at bachelor level) with a pioneering attitude and an open mind towards communication and knowledge sharing.

Job requirementsVoor deze vacature zoeken wij een professional met de volgende achtergrond:
? HLO of WO opleiding in chemie / chemische technologie of aanverwant
? 5-10 jaar aantoonbare werkervaring binnen een industrieel of researchlaboratorium
? Ervaring met katalyse (homogeen of heterogeen) binnen industriele processen
? Ervaren met het werken met reactoren (hoge of lage druk)
? Pro-actief, daadkrachtig en zelfstandige werker
? Goede vaardigheden in de Engelse taal (liefst ook in het Nederlands)
For this position we are looking for a professional with the following background:
- Bachelor or Master in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- 5-10 years of experience of working in a laboratory role in an industrial or research environment
- Experience with catalytic reactions (homegeneous or heterogeneous)
- Experience with chemical reactors both at low and high pressures
- Experience in pilot plant operation and its protocols would be an advantage
- Structure, ambition and focus on creating and sharing results
- Good language skills in English (preferably in Dutch)
