As part of the Policy Team you will be responsible for supporting the needs of our members and ensuring we provide a clean and safe site on which to trade. Knowledge of the eBay site either through your current role or from your own experience on eBay is an advantage. Day to day you will draw on your strong technical and analytical ability as you review reports and address members concerns. Your proactive nature will be key to ensure your success and career progression. Training will be provided.As a direct point of contact for our members, you will represent us to a high standard of professionalism. We are contacted by our users, through various channels, including phone, email, live chat and discussion forums.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
To provide Best in Service to our members and to address their concerns in a timely manner.
To ensure the site is safe and clean.
Responsibilities:
•Supports the daily needs of our members on a wide variety of queries, ensuring their resolution and satisfaction
•Works with members in overcoming challenges they may face in listing their items for sale and addressing their concerns on why their item was removed. Also provides education to members on policies
•Has a thorough understanding of customer priorities, and identify key improvement areas.
•Provides feedback on emerging issues on the site
•Ensures that we are providing the safest and cleanest site possible for the Community
Requirements:
•Fluency in English and in one of the following languages is essential: French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish
•Available to work 2.30pm – 11pm and one day at the weekend
•Previous customer service experience is required, either in person or in a call centre
•General understanding of eBay. Applicants who use eBay to buy or sell are ideal
•Knowledge of luxury brands and counterfeit trends is an advantage
•Basic Computer Knowledge - experience with all Microsoft Office programs and Internet
•Good typing skills
•Phone experience is an advantage
•Availability to work late and weekend shifts
•Ability to work in different department specific communication channels (e.g. email, chat, phone)
•Leaving certificate or equivalent
•Some college or university experience is an advantage
